I (Aviah) often get asked how I got started with Gold & Peach Co. And to be honest, it's probably NOT the story most people would expect.
If you had told me years ago that I would one day own a jewelry business, I wouldn't have believed you at all. In fact, before Gold & Peach Co, I was actually dreaming of starting a perfume company using natural ingredients like flowers, woods, evergreens, and aromatics.
That idea never actually came to life, HOWEVER, it did spark my love for entrepreneurship and creating something of my own.
Prior to 2017, I never once thought that I'd ever start my own business. And I mean NEVER- it wasn't even on my radar. As mentioned, in August 2017, I wanted to start a natural perfume company. I never actually ended up doing that because the next month, I started my essential oils instagram page.
In early 2019, I was still running my small essential oils blog and posting frequently on my instagram page. I vividly remember coming across "diffuser braceIets" you could put your essential oils on and immediately thinking that they were so cool! I enjoyed beaded bracelet crafts in the past and realized if I put more effort into my designs, then I could make them for people in my oily community too.
Even before starting Gold & Peach Co., I've always been a creative at heart. When I was younger I would make endless crafts-- from fun little beaded bracelets to functioning paper dolls that could eat "food" (Yes it's true, I made them food from shredded paper!)
I believe that creativity is one of the gifts that God has placed within me, and decided it was time to FULLY embrace it.
On March 17, 2019, "Gold & Peach Co." was born. I continued to plan the business for about 3 months before I began creating jewelry in June 2019. I started selling on the instagram page @goldandpeachco, and to friends and family that took an interest as well.
In October 2019, I attended my very first craft show! This was a fun way for me to network with other business owners and connect with my customers in person.

I attended a couple more vendor events for the next few months before launching my Etsy store in December 2019. Little did I know it would be the perfect time to set up an online store, because the world shut down in March 2020! Even though I missed seeing the faces of real human beings, I was grateful that I had a store so I could still send out orders.
I continued selling on Etsy for about a year, and in January 2021, I decided to launch the Gold & Peach Co. website! This was a huge accomplishment for me because right when I started Gold & Peach I immediately dreamed of having my very own website.
Gold & Peach started with diffuser jewelry, but eventually evolved far beyond that. I struggled at first with the switch, because diffuser bracelets were what started it all. But with time I realized I wanted to expand and design jewelry that wasn't tied to just one concept. Letting go of the early version of my business was definitely one of the biggest pivots I had to make. But this is also what allowed Gold & Peach to grow into what it is today!
From there, the rest is history. I continued to sell jewelry online, and in June 2022 I attended my first vendor market in years! To this day, I still love being able to see you guys in person and meet you face-to-face.
And this is what ultimately brought us to where we are today! Gold & Peach has been such a blessing over the last 7 years. Of course, like any business you have moments that really develop your character. But I'm grateful for pushing through so I could see all the growth that's come with this journey!
With time we found our unique style and continue to use new techniques when designing new pieces. Looking back at the very first bracelets I designed, we’ve come a long way!

Looking back, it's so funny to see how everything connected together. I never imagined that wanting to start a perfume company would eventually lead me to starting this brand that you know today. Each step prepared me for the next!
Whether you've been here from the very beginning or joined throughout the years, I'm endlessly grateful for your support and look forward to seeing what's next!
